Information for Dentists and Dental Hygienists
- Continuing education for dentists and dental hygienists are required to complete continuing education contact hours.
- Dentists and dental office personnel who are providing conscious sedation for patients are encouraged to complete the Conscious Sedation Training and Certification. This course will promote sedation safety and improve office practices concerning the safety of medication administration.
- The Medication Administration Basic Certification is recommended for anyone who is assisting or providing medications to patients. Practice standards are also governed by the individual licensing boards.
